Description

A deer with fangs! The musk deer is also referred to as the fanged or vampire deer. This example from the University of St Andrews is a Moschus moschiferus L Siberian Musk Deer from the mountainous woodlands of Asia. But don’t worry – the deer are herbivores and only use their tusks to defend themselves as they don’t have antlers.
