Collections highlights

University museums look after a huge range of collections, and with over 2 million objects there are far too many to mention here. Also, as our museums are based at different locations throughout Scotland, it would take a while to visit them all (although we’d love you to do so).

To help you get a taste of our many and varied collections we’ve selected objects on an assortment of themes taken from different museums in different locations. This way, you can get a flavour of the scope and range of items across our museums. If you’d like to know more about an object you can click on it to see a description, find out where you can see it, and who to contact for more information. We’ll be adding new themes all the time, so do come back and visit the page again.
