The Aberdeen Bestiary

Description

The Aberdeen Bestiary is a favourite of students at the University of Aberdeen. Its fabulous depictions of beasts and birds are always well received when they post about them. The manuscript was on view in the Sir Duncan Rice Library Gallery in 2012 and in 2019 was loaned to the Getty Museum in California so it is currently resting in the Special Collections store. The good news is that there is a fantastic website so it can be enjoyed anytime!
