One of the most extraordinary thinkers of his time, Patrick Geddes is best known as the father of modern town planning and was also an environmentalist, economist, geographer, sociologist and cultural catalyst. For over 30 years Geddes was also Professor of Botany at University College, Dundee (now the University of Dundee), transforming the campus with a series of gardens which he used for teaching. For this special walking tour, University museum curator Matthew Jarron will explore Geddes’s impact on the campus and the city.

The walk will start outside the front of the Tower Building and end on Magdalen Green.
