Our Work: Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

Opening up collections and providing outreach and engagement activities to broader communities is core to the mission of all museums – enabling university museums to often be the first experience many have with Higher Education, breaking down perceived barriers to coming onto campus. Core to UMIS’s vision is that our collections will be accessible to everyone – both physically and digitally – and act as inspiration and catalysts for research, discussion and debate, and that our museum spaces and programming will be inclusive and open, encouraging and representing the full diversity of visitors and
audiences.
